This famous art venue, a popular UNESCO World Heritage Site (it falls within the designation ‘Paris, Banks of the Seine’) is constantly packed  with people wanting to see any number of the masterpieces in the museum’s collection. In 2018 the Louvre was the most visited museum in the world, receiving 10.2 million visitors. There are around 38,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century exhibited in an area of 782,910 square feet (72,735 square meters) that attendees can enjoy.

The three hour private tour can be given in any language and is led by an expert qualified guide and art historian. It begins outside the iconic museum with the story of how this famous building originated as a medieval fortress to a royal palace and then a world renowned art museum.

Once inside, the tour will visit the Classical Antiques Wing including the ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman artifacts, and the Denon Wing, where some of the greatest Italian masterpieces from Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Veronese are found. Of course this tour will also cover some of the great French masters, including an exploration of the Neoclassicism and Romanticism art movements. It is also possible for this tour to be tailor-made to focus on any area of interest.

The exclusive tour can be offered on any day other than public holidays, subject to availability. To find out more about this VIP experience in the magnificent Louvre museum contact True Luxury Travel directly.
