Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park is one of the United States’ most beloved and iconic World Heritage Sites. Located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, Yosemite is known for its dramatic granite cliffs, free-falling waterfalls, and towering sequoia trees. Visitors come from all over the world to experience its natural wonders, and there is no shortage of things to see and do. Popular attractions include Half Dome, Glacier Point, and Mariposa Grove, but there are also many lesser-known gems worth exploring. Hikers will find no shortage of trails to follow, including the John Muir Trail and the Mist Trail. For those seeking a less crowded experience, Tuolumne Meadows is a must-see. After a long day of hiking, climbing, or skiing, visitors can relax and grab a bite in Yosemite Valley, where the majority of the park’s amenities and accommodations are located. Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline-pumping trek or a leisurely stroll through nature’s finest, Yosemite National Park has something for everyone.

Designated as a World Heritage Site in 1984, Yosemite National Park is recognized because of the park’s outstanding universal value, which is based on its natural beauty, and geological significance. Today, Yosemite National Park remains one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, welcoming more than four million visitors every year.
